Welcome to my website, here’s a little bit about me. I just turned 40 and have a passion for travelling, learning, music, art, experiencing new things and connecting with new people. Last year I started learning surfing and skateboarding and it has really given me a huge dose of joy and has introduced me to a whole new community, it’s the best thing i’ve ever done and i’m always looking to meet new people taking the plunge with outdoor and cold water adventures. I love music and finding new and old quirky bands. I love my job and all the adventures it has taken me on. From lavish destination weddings to intimate celebrations. I look forward to meeting you!

Hey, i’m Nicola

Here’s a little bit about me and my lovely little business of storytelling!

My Grandad gave me his analogue cameras in my late teens. He used to develop his negatives and images in the cupboard under the stairs. It was always so inspiring to me, he’s snap his travels and magically bring the images to life himself. During my fine art degree I learnt how to develop myself in the dark room. I’ve always been fascinated and inspired by peoples stories and inspired by light so becoming a portrait photographer happened organically and almost by accident.

I picked up my cameras again a few years later, after having children, and moved to digital. I began taking maternity shots of myself and photographing my children and in 2015 I took the plunge and started my first photography business. I started out shooting lifestyle sessions with families.

At the end of 2016 my friend asked me to photograph her intimate wedding ceremony in the Lake District, my first paid wedding, which was an incredibly inspiring experience for me so in 2019 I went full time as a Wedding Photographer and I’ve been honoured to have witnessed, captured, made some amazing friends and been so absolutely moved by some incredibly emotional moments since.

It is my dream to travel the world, photographing people and their loved one getting married and experiencing all the cultural exchanges and rituals that make each celebration of love so unique.
